**Instructor**
***Oakville STEM Learning, an after-school learning centre in Oakville, seeks experienced Math and Science instructors.**
**The instructor will tutor students from ages 10 to 18. All teaching materials will be provided. The instructor will work with students on an individual or small group setting. Must be flexible with changes in setting and time. This is a part-time, year-round position.**
**Requirements**:
**College student or above with major in Math and or Science**
**Proficient knowledge in Math(High School Math
**Ability to multi-task with good work ethics**
**Patience, enthusiasm, willingness to work with children**
**Hours can be discussed at the interview**
**Prior tutoring experience a plus**
**OCT Certification or Pursuing OCT Certification a plus**
**Satisfactory police check (before joining)**
**General Responsibilities**
**Report to the Centre Director**
**Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Centre policies**
**Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.)**
**Discuss students’ progress with Centre Director after every session or end of business day**
**Provide written feedback to students**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6-9 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
