This is to define the duties and responsibilities of Machine Operator Role.

Working Conditions:
Work hours will be 40 hours per week, 8 hours per shift, and rotating work schedule. Occasionally work maybe required outside of “normal” work hours. The work environment is located on the production floor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure finished goods are accurately labelled and packaged in accordance with finished product procedures
- Work to Health & Safety, Hygiene, & Housekeeping procedures within the workplace
- Ensure Quality standards are met and quality issues are reported
- Perform basic machine maintenance during daily performance maintenance cycle
- Assist in line changeovers
- Understand fault finding and product changes
- Finished products are stored accurately in the appropriate area
- Ensure that product movement complies with the first in first out rotation
- Ensure that Pallets/Storage are clean and sufficient for packaging.
- Ensure damaged goods are reported to the Quality department and labelled (Hold) for inspection
- Inspect and be aware of the finished goods and question any defects noticed and report to the Quality department or the Team Leader
- Rework bad quality products
- communicate with Team Lead/Lead material Handler in regards to movement of products - Any duties required by the management of the business

Competencies and Qualifications:

- Must be able to read and understand written instructions
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be able to work with others and give directions as required
- Perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible
- Must be able to problem solve, if needed
- Work steadily and safe in a fast-paced environment
- Assist the team in all areas as needed

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
