Sales Support Assistant

The position for hire is within K&K Recycling Services, a privately-owned Canadian industrial services & scrap metal recycling company. We have been in business for over 25 years, and we service our customers from numerous locations across Canada and the United States. We provide standard and customized solutions for industrial accounts, large OEMs and public institutions, thereby adding significant value for our customers.

**Job Summary**

Reporting to and working under the direction of the VP of Business Development, the Sales Support Assistant is responsible for a variety of sales/operational initiatives including, but not limited to Sales & Customers support, project tracking and working closely with the off-site projects team.

**Key Job Responsibilities**
- Assist with researching and exploring new business/sales opportunities.
- Assist with responding to various bids and tenders, including collecting relevant bidding information, presenting to supervisor for a timely bid submission.
- Navigate various online customer portals and websites to download, upload, and extract information.
- Track and analyze monthly market pricing, customer pricing, and historic company purchases, sales, and business transactions.
- Project support: resource collection, organizing supplies needed, and communicating with team members regarding their respective project roles.
- Regularly communicate with team members and supervisors regarding project progression and address issues quickly and effectively.
- Analysis of completed projects which entails; creating profit and loss reports and analyzing project performance.
- Collaboration with internal teams, such as accounting and logistics, to ensure smooth project completion.
- Using CRM, extracting essential data and creating and filtering through reports.
- Maintain and file information electronically, and create files and folders to keep track of projects and relevant data in the cloud (OneDrive, etc.) and on the computer.
- Tracking and send project progression reports to customers and relevant stakeholders.
- Support and facilitate the sales/project teams by scheduling weekly meetings, sending out agendas, and updating/sharing meeting minutes.
- Other duties and responsibilities as business needs arise

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a Sales Support role or similar (scrap metal recycling industry experience is an asset but not required).
- A college diploma or certificate in Business, Sales or related area is an asset.
- Strong computer literacy, including an intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), is an asset.
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and knowledge of formulas, formatting, tables, and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft CRM (or prior relevant experience) or possess the willingness and savvness to learn.
- Excellent communication, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful with excellent analytical, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and execute multiple tasks at once, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to act as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.

**This position is based and reporting to K&K's head office in Pickering, Ontario, with an option to work on a hybrid model.**
