**Dental IT Service Technician**

Dr Support Pros Inc. is a computer support company specializing in the dental industry. Dr Support Pros Inc. manages all aspects of its business from Toronto, Burlington, Cambridge and Halifax, with its head office located in Pickering, ON. We take pride in being a leader in the support of medical and dental offices.

**JOB OVERVIEW**

Dr Support Pros Inc. is looking for a dependable computer support representative to support our client base. They must have excellent communication skills to work with our customers, and management. Technical staff to provide excellent technical customer support, service and satisfaction.

Applicants are expected to:

- Respond promptly to requests for technical assistance via phone or in person
- Be able to drive to customer locations to provide on site support when necessary
- Process these requests by solving them or escalating them to the appropriate person whether it is the next level of support, a sales person or an account manager
- Diagnose and resolve technical software and hardware issues related to installation, configuration, operations or performance of the products Dr Support Pros supports
- Research solutions using available information resources and advise user on appropriate action

**REQUIREMENTS**
- IT support experience, specifically in the dental industry, is required
- Able to solve problems without being easily overwhelmed
- Skills and experience with Microsoft Server 2019 and 2022, Windows 7 and newer, knowledge of DNS, DHCP, router configurations, and a willingness and ability to continue to develop industry specific skills
- Must enjoy a team oriented environment, but also able to work independently on assigned tasks
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Availability for Permanent, Full Time Employment including some on call, overtime and weekend duties

College diploma in Microsoft Computer systems as an MCP or MCSE or equivalent is an asset, but not required

**Computer and Technology Knowledge**:
Windows, Hardware, Device drivers, Networking software, Networking hardware, Networking security, Applications - Dental, Applications - Desktop, File management software, Security software, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Office Suites

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**:
Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, on site troubleshooting/installation

**Security and Safety**:
Bondable, Criminal record check

**Transportation/Travel Information**:
Must have own vehicle and be able to use it every work day. Willing to travel regularly, Willing to travel overnight. You will be reimbursed for mileage for the business use of your vehicle.

**Essential Skills**:
Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, working independently, problem solving, research capability, computer use, dental industry knowledge

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
