Assistant Press Operator

Can Art is a commercial leader in the Aluminum Extrusion field, with 3 plants in Ontario, come and join a true industry leader in this exciting manufacturing field.

We need an Assistant Press Operator to start immediately at our Brampton Plant, near Steeles and Finch across the road from Wet N Wild Toronto.
- **Must be able to work 12 hour continental shifts, 7 shifts every 2 weeks**_

**Responsibilities**:

- Die management
- Ensures all necessary tooling is available at the beginning and throughout shift
- Responsible to load dies into press
- Responsible to Maintain die change times per press as specified in Production
- Check finish and dimensions on extrusions at the required frequency

**Experience Required**:

- Ability to work 12 hours continental shift schedule.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Personable with clear communication skills. Both written and verbal English communication required to perform the job successfully.
- Able to work well with others in a team environment
- Computer literate.
- Good attitude required and willing to learn.
- Good knowledge and record of safety, quality and productivity around the aluminum extrusion press.
- Previous experience in Aluminum or other metal industry a definite asset.
