Smyth Medical Pharmacy is a rapidly growing, Ottawa, ON based medical cannabis dispensary. We are currently seeking to hire a Front Desk Clerk. The Front Desk Clerk will perform a variety of duties in the front desk area of the store. Duties include but are not limited to checking in customers, taking payments, stocking shelves, opening and closing the store, and other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in a retail environment preferred but not required
- Must be able to work independently and with a team
- Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must have reliable transportation and valid Ottawa, ON driver’s license
- Must be able to maintain a clean driving record with the driving of your own vehicle
- Must have customer service experience

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

- Stand for long periods of time; walk; bend, stoop, twist or reach; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; talk or hear.
- Carry heavy packages and heavy objects up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Work in an indoor environment at heights for extended periods of time.
- Lift, carry and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Ottawa, ON K1G 4G3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
