**Warehouse Manager - Big & Bulky Logistics**
**Job Summary**
This role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and a commitment to workplace safety and operational efficiency. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the warehouse, including team management, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and compliance with health and safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the daily operations of a high-volume, large-format warehouse
- Oversee receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and outbound logistics for big and bulky products
- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, supervisors, and equipment operators
- Ensure accuracy in inventory control, cycle counts, and documentation
- Maintain compliance with **Ontario health and safety regulations**, including WSIB and CSA standards
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Coordinate with internal departments and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries
- Enforce company policies and provide training and support for staff development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
**Qualifications**
- Minimum **5 years of warehouse management experience**, preferably in a big and bulky product environment (e.g., furniture, appliances,)
- Proven leadership and team management experience in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and shipping/receiving processes
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment
- In-depth knowledge of **Ontario workplace safety standards**, including familiarity with JHSC practices
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items (up to 75 lbs) and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in high-volume retail or e-commerce distribution
- Knowledge of Lean warehousing practices or Six Sigma certification
- First Aid or Health & Safety Committee certification is an asset
