About the Job:
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Community Kitchen Coordinator, will develop, facilitate and implement a Community Kitchen Program that supports & encourages the women to actively attend and participate. The Community Kitchen Coordinator will plan, coordinate and deliver all aspects of program community kitchen program including but not limited to planning community meals; teaching basic cooking and kitchen skills; budgeting for supplies; keeping the kitchen clean/sanitary and promoting/encouraging cooperation among participants. You are expected to connect and cultivate relationships with like community organizations and programs. You are expected to maintain strong working relationships with and awareness of complementary programs and groups in the community and have specific knowledge regarding available community resources, private and government. You are expected to be aware of all resources available to community kitchen programs. You will facilitate community cooking but also connect women to food security programs including organizing outings to the food bank, Quest, etc.

Additional Requisites/Assets:

- Passionate about all aspects of cooking
- Food Safe Certificate is required
- A valid First Aid Certificate is required
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is an asset
- Covid-19 (including booster) and annual flu vaccinations are required, unless with exemption
