**Position Summary**

Alumni Engagement Coordinator is to coordinate resources to increase alumni engagement team capacity to further alumni engagement goals and potential advancement activities. Working with the Director, they will design, develop, implement, and assess a strategy for alumni outreach, alumni volunteer engagement and the student-alumni-bridge, focusing on alumni engagement opportunities that creates development opportunities and a meaningful and progressive involvement with relationship with the Faculty the University while also deepening culture of engagement, volunteerism, and financial engagement.

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator leads development exercises and informs strategic and operational activities the in the alumni engagement team. Works in collaboration with departments, faculty, administration and leadership, focuses programming that can promote long term prospect identification and engagement, alumni relations and alumni data stewardship, and related alumni development and fundraising responsibilities. They represent the Student Affairs & Services team and work collaboratively with the Registrar’s Office, Institutional Accountability, Faculty, Academic team, and other central teams and professionals.

This role will engage our global network of volunteers to strengthen relationships and progress University advancement objectives. Supervision and training is required, especially with junior staff, students and volunteers.

**Specific Responsibilities**

**Alumni Research and Database Management**
- Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the University Information Management Systems
- Ensures up to date information from different data systems is maintained; ensures that all alumni activity is tracked, recorded, and analyzed; generates reports and lists as required.
- Develops processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy of data collection, validation, and verification.
- Identifies, researches, and coordinates new initiatives to advance UCW’s strategic plan, in addition to the Student Affairs & Services strategic plan and priorities.
- Identifies new processes to increase pipeline development of alumni for volunteer roles and various engagement opportunities.

**Communications**
- Works with Alumni and Communications colleagues on producing alumni newsletters, event invitations, online communication pieces, drafting award nomination packages, congratulatory letters, etc.
- Contributes and executes the communications strategy including developing web content, creating social media content to promote alumni activities, communication, and contacts.
- Prepares briefing notes, tracking and reporting, managing data, writing and presentations, and providing meeting and event support.
- Builds a depth of knowledge of our alumni through research and relationship-building, working closely with Alumni Team and other Faculty units to share this knowledge.
- Coordinate resources to support advance inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including complaints, working with the central teams, as appropriate

**Event Management**:

- Contributes to the planning and execution of UCW signature alumni events: Annual Homecoming, Mentorship Series, Annual Gala and Celebrations.
- Enhance existing Alumni Relations activities, to engage local, national and international alumni communities
- Manages the program and event budget.
- Develops processes to enhance alumni events, programs and communications; manages the post event evaluations for improvement to ensure maximum impact and cost-effectiveness.
