Progressive Legal Solutions (PLS) is expanding We are excited to announce the opening of our second office in Richmond Hill, serving clients at courthouses in Newmarket, Toronto, and throughout the GTA and Simcoe County. We are actively seeking dedicated, enthusiastic professionals from these regions to join our growing team.

PLS specializes exclusively in Family Law, Small Claims Court matters, and ancillary practice areas such as Wills and Estates.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Represent clients in court, mediation sessions, and negotiation proceedings in family law matters
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft various legal documents including separation agreements, prenuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements
- Prepare essential pleadings such as Applications, Answers, Briefs, and Motions, adhering strictly to Family Law Rules
- Assist in trial preparation, including document preparation and witness coaching, alongside principal lawyers
- Provide informed legal counsel to clients, clearly communicating their rights and obligations under applicable legislation
- Stay informed about evolving laws, regulations, and trends relevant to family law practice
- Collaborate closely with legal colleagues and support staff to manage cases efficiently
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by senior lawyers

**Qualifications**:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; Canadian law school graduates preferred
- Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum 2 years of post-call experience (preferred but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with litigation rules and procedures in Central East and Toronto regions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal matters clearly
- Excellent analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively
- High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining strict client confidentiality
