We are looking for a go-getter, with a strong interest in criminal defence, a solid grasp of criminal law, procedure and evidence, relevant experience in criminal law or a related field, a strong desire to win, strong advocacy stills, and an appreciation for customer service.Your job will involve assisting clients with police investigations, conducting Bail Hearings, interviewing witnesses and preparing Affidavits, drafting pre-trial applications and Charter applications, conducting Crown Pre-Trials, Judicial Pre-Trials, Pre-Trial Application Hearings, Trials, Sentencing Hearings, and Appeals. You will work on files involving charges from Theft, Fraud, Assault, Impaired Driving/Over 80, Harassment, Mischief, Sexual Offences, Break and Enter, and more.You must be licensed as a Lawyer by the Law Society of Ontario, and you must be insured and ready to start working. You will need a vehicle. The job is in person at our office in Richmond Hill. Experience in Criminal Defence is highly desirable and a strong asset.
