As the leading trade contractor in North America, our winning success is having the right people on our team. - A Day In The Life - Complete take-offs/estimate or assigned projects - Follow up on multi-scope or single-scope projects - Attend pre-bid & post-bid meetings - Complete work orders & prepare material order sheets - Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers - Negotiating contract price/award price with clients - Participate in initial handoff meetings, production meetings and project autopsies. - Visit job sites - Consult, communicate, and build rapport with internal departments - What We Are Seeking - 2 to 5 years’ Estimating work experience; experience in the Building Envelope (Glazing, and/or Metals) industry is an asset. - Architectural Technology Diploma, Estimating Certificate, education in a related field or equivalent work experience - Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to work in a fast paced team environment - Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask - General Building Envelope knowledge - Sales skills - Background in Building Science - Basics of AutoCAD - What We Offer - Competitive wages and benefits - RRSP Matching - Great environment where our motto is "Flynn Family Winning Together" - On-going career development programs through our in-house Flynn University and eLearning courses - In-house gym INDIO - Keywords: ICI, Estimating, Vancouver, Construction, Architectural Products, Glazing, Metals, Commercial - #LI-AA1 - Position Summary - **Location: Vancouver, BC**: - ** Employment Type: Full-time**: - ** Job Functions: Estimating**: - ** Industry: Construction
