**Priestly Demolition Inc.'s western division (PDI West)**is looking for a detail-driven and strategic Estimator to join our growing team in Vancouver. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in preparing accurate, timely cost estimates for high-impact demolition and construction projects. If you have a keen eye for numbers, a solid understanding of building plans, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
**Job Duties**
- Utilizing internal systems, processes, and technology to complete accurate quotations for demolition projects
- Attending site visits as required
- Providing timely and professional estimates to clients
- Actively pursuing new projects and building new relationships with clients of various sizes
- Following up with sales leads submitted via online resources
- Working with a team of individuals to provide high quality service to clients
- Experience with cost estimating for construction/demolition using quantitative take-off techniques
- Experience creating construction/demolition quotations using estimating software
- Strong Computer skills required including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Other duties as required by manager
Position RequirementsRequirementsPost-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in a construction or demolition estimating role Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, B2W Estimate) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required Knowledge of health and safety standards, including WorkSafe BC, is considered an assetWork Conditions:Combination of office work and site visits Occasional overtime may be required based on project timelines Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when on job sites
