**THE POSITION**
- Assisting with framing and finish carpentry
- Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster
- Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels
- Marking positions for pipe connections and fixtures in walls and floors
- Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
- Surface preparation work for tile setting (e.g. removing old grout and cement and cleaning and levelling surfaces)
- Laying tiles in accordance with tiling plan, cutting tiles where necessary
- Grouting gaps between tiles
- Painting - touch ups, small projects
- Reading drawings and blue prints to understand scope of work
- Working with customers and clients to understand their needs

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to deal with customers and clients in a respectful manner
- Strong work ethic with an attention to detail
- Reliable and flexible
- Able to take direction and work well with others
- Able to meet the physical demands of this job
- Firm understanding of job safety
- Experience with excel an asset
- Access to own tools is an asset
- Access to own vehicle is required and a clean driving record is required
