Quality Control Technician

Reporting to our **QA Manager (AQAP)**, we are looking for a **Quality Control Technician **to join our growing **Quality & Innovation **team.

**WHAT WILL YOUR DAYS LOOK LIKE?**
- Represent QA as an ambassador for Lyonleaf quality standard and regulatory compliance with respect to GPP, Cannabis Regulations, and company SOPs
- Pre-Operational inspections of grow and processing rooms and equipment.
- Sample collection and lab submissions
- Facilitate training sessions and on-the-job training for personnel, visitors, and contractors as required on Company SOPs and verify training results
- Perform daily qualitative and quantitative checks on in-coming materials, in-process procedures, and finished products according to established product specifications, SOPs, and Health Canada requirements
- Complete documentation review including production batch records and other forms as needed
- Assist production and operations in drafting, writing, and implementing SOPs that comply with Cannabis Regulations and GPP
- Assigning and implementing effective CAPA to promote continuous improvement
- Assist with the tracking of metrics around compliance and efficiency and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Participate in both internal and external audits as required
- Fulfilling internship program requirement as per school’s requirements (if applicable)
- Other duties as assigned

**WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TABLE? (QUALIFICATIONS)**
- CEGEP degree, or equivalent, preferably in Quality Control.
- University degree specializing in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Plant Sciences, Agriculture or related discipline as an asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the documentation and record keeping is an asset.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, cannabis, pharmaceuticals, food production or manufacturing environment is an asset
- Proficiency with computer systems (ERP software, MS Office, and others)
- Functional bilingualism (EN - FR)
- Horticulture, agriculture, or diploma in a related field as an asset

**À QUOI RESSEMBLERONT VOS JOURNÉES?**
- Représenter l'AQ en tant qu'ambassadeur de la norme de qualité et de la conformité réglementaire de Lyonleaf en ce qui concerne les BPF, les règlements sur le cannabis et les procédures opérationnelles standard (SOPs) de l'entreprise.
- Inspections préopérationnelles des salles et équipements de culture et de traitement.
- Prélèvement d'échantillons et envoi aux laboratoires
- Animer des sessions de formation et des formations en cours d'emploi pour le personnel, les visiteurs et les sous-traitants, conformément aux procédures opérationnelles normalisées de l'entreprise, et vérifier les résultats de la formation.
- Effectuer des contrôles qualitatifs et quantitatifs quotidiens sur les matériaux entrants, les procédures en cours de fabrication et les produits finis, conformément aux spécifications des produits, aux procédures opérationnelles normalisées et aux exigences de Santé Canada.
