The Head of Shipping & Receiving will be responsible for the organizational management of all orders and documentation for our **mattress manufacturing** facility in Edmonton, Alberta. This individual will prepare shipments, verify contents, and ensure the orders leaving the factory are complete. Armed with experience overseeing truck loading and warehouse management, the Head of Shipping & Receiving will play an integral role in the success of Araam's supply chain function.

**_Responsibilities: _**
- Daily shipping and receiving of all parts, raw materials for manufacturing unit, assemblies, and finished products. This includes daily communications with internal and external customers.
- Preparing product for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving shipping problems when necessary.
- Storing product by designating storage locations, optimizing storage areas, and updating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in a timely manner.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory accuracy by completing cycle counts as required and ensuring inventory control within the warehouse.
- Preparation of shipping and customs documentation to support Sales and Service departments.
- Scheduling of transportation as required to complete customer orders, both locally and internationally, while ensuring utmost accuracy and efficiency.
- Upholding a safe work environment in compliance with Health and Safety regulations. Ensuring optimal storage and handling requirements are followed, damages are minimized, and errors inherent in warehouse operations are controlled.
- Upgrading and managing the warehouse processes to optimize movement and storage of materials.
- Actively seek out new shipping and freight avenues.
- Occasional delivery of shipments to freight terminals using company provided vehicles.

**_Requirements: _**
- 2+ years of experience in warehousing and/or inventory management.
- **Forklift** and **Narrow Aisle Reach Truck** experience is required.
- Basic computer/technology literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- International shipping and SAP experience.
- Knowledge of WHMIS.
- Demonstrate excellence in leadership with a keen ability to garner trust and engagement from the team.
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines with shifting priorities.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and motivated to succeed.
- Class 5 Driver’s License and Drivers Abstract.
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
