**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain and reconcile G/L accounts, including bank and credit accounts
- Manage and monitor Accounts Receivables and Payables
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all transactions
- Prepare month
- and year-end financial statements and support annual accounting audits
- Track, record, and process governmental filings (i.e. GST/HST, CRA, WSIB, etc.)
- Maintain accurate accounting records for capital assets and depreciation
- Perform journal entries and adjustments to ensure accurate month
- and year-end closings
- Oversee accounting procedures and suggest improvements where needed
- Provide accounting support to Operations as required, including financial analysis
- (Payroll is handled by an external provider)
**Skills**
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
- 3+ years experience as a Bookkeeper
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts
- Knowledge of governmental filings and remittances
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office, and familiarity with ERP systems
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors is an asset
Pay: From $54,000.00 per year
