We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager for Parts to join our team at Summit Trailer, a leading provider of heavy-duty trailers and parts. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our high-value clients, ensuring the timely supply of parts, and maximizing customer satisfaction. This role requires a combination of strong sales, technical knowledge of trailer parts, and exceptional customer service skills.Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and rotational Saturdays 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
**Responsibilities**:
- **Account Management**: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including fleet owners, maintenance facilities, and other commercial clients. Act as the primary point of contact for all parts-related inquiries and issues.
- **Sales and Revenue Growth**: Identify opportunities to grow sales within existing accounts by offering tailored solutions, new product offerings, and promotions. Set and achieve sales targets to contribute to the overall dealership’s revenue goals. Track revenue opportunities in the CRM system.
- **Parts Knowledge & Solution Selling**: Utilize in-depth knowledge of trailer parts and accessories to assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs. Provide technical support and product recommendations to solve customer problems and improve fleet efficiency.
- **Order Management & Coordination**: Oversee the parts ordering process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. Collaborate with the parts department, purchasing & inventory, sales, suppliers, and manufacturers as needed to ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet customer demand.
- **Customer Support & Service Excellence**: Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to parts orders, deliveries, or returns in a prompt and professional manner. Proactively communicate with customers to keep them informed about order status, potential delays, and new product offerings.
- **Market Intelligence**:Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer needs to provide insights for improving our product offerings and service. Ensure that customers are kept up to date with the latest parts and technology in the industry.
- **Reporting & Forecasting**:Track sales performance, inventory levels, and customer interactions. Provide regular reports and forecasts to the Parts Manager and Sales Team to support inventory planning and sales strategy.
**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**:
- 3 or more years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within the automotive, heavy equipment, or trailer parts industry is required.
- Supervisory experience of 1 or more employees is preferred
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trailer parts is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is preferred.
**Skills**:
- Strong understanding of trailer parts, systems, and components. Ability to offer technical support and make recommendations based on customer needs.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key accounts, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership skills - mentoring, coaching, training & encouraging staff. Must be comfortable with promoting accountability.
- Proven exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage customers, understand their needs, and provide clear, effective solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and handle high-volume transactions efficiently.
- Comfortable using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools to track customer interactions, trends, consignment inventory / VMI, and sales data.
