As a Shift Leader for the Front of House (FOH) at Wooden Fish, you will be crucial in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting team members. You will lead by example, promote a positive work environment, and ensure smooth and efficient service during your shift.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Lead and Support FOH Team**: Supervise hosts, servers, and bussers during your shift to ensure consistent service quality. Offer guidance, support, and direction to the team as needed.
- ** Customer Service Excellence**: Maintain a strong customer-first approach by ensuring guests are greeted promptly, seated quickly, and that their dining experience meets or exceeds expectations.
- ** Operational Efficiency**: Oversee day-to-day FOH operations, ensuring tables are turned efficiently, the dining area is clean and organized, and the POS system is used effectively.
- ** Training and Development**: Provide ongoing training and feedback to FOH staff, reinforcing best practices, customer service standards, and restaurant policies.
- ** Problem Solving**: Address any guest concerns, complaints, or special requests quickly and professionally. Resolve issues in a manner that ensures guest satisfaction and upholds restaurant standards.
- ** Monitor Inventory**: Ensure that the FOH is stocked with necessary supplies and communicate with management when inventory needs replenishing.
- ** Shift Management**: Create and manage FOH shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels. Be responsible for clocking team members in and out and monitoring breaks.
- ** Cash Handling**: Oversee cash management at the end of the shift, including closing out tills and ensuring accurate reporting of sales.
- ** Health and Safety Compliance**: Ensure that FOH staff follow all health, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with local regulations and restaurant policies.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in a FOH role (server, host, etc.) in a restaurant setting
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
