Your role as a Kitchen Customer service/prep cook will include involvement and oversight of the food preparation, prep and production process in the kitchen, and the following of recipes for multiple products for dine-in and take out. Your role will include setting and maintaining attractive fresh displays, package and wrap customer orders, and assure that all objectives and goals of the department and store, as communicated by the Market Manager, and leadership team, are met or exceeded. You will ensure a positive company image by providing legendary customer service.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Support the Kitchen Team Lead with all kitchen functions
- Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.
- Prepare, season and cook food according to standardized recipe, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Take special orders.
- Follow through on all customer questions and requests.
- Offer suggestions and recommendations.
- Portion, cut, and slice various products.
- Weigh products on scales and utilize label printer based on the product.
- Properly package and wrap products for retail sale.
- Follow established food safety procedures.
- Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
- Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage.
- Be aware of new products, features, and their placement.
- Keep all coolers and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
- Rotate prep and cooking stations based on scheduling needs
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

**Qualifications**:

- Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented
- Good communicator and motivator; able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm.
- Is available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department
- An ability to lift or carry items up to 40 pounds
- A passion for food
- Some cooking experience required
- Post Secondary Culinary training considered an asset
- WHIMS certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
- Food Safety certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)

**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour
