**Sorrentino's is looking for a day/event manager to join our team**

**In this role, your main focus will be: PLANNING, ORGANIZING & EXECUTION**

**Management Responsibilities**:

- Daily operations of lunch
- Planning “the day” for the location.
- Supervision of any incoming orders: liquor, linen, front of the house operational supplies
- Sending in orders as needed and meeting deadlines: linen, liquor
- Delegate appropriately for invoice reconciling and putting away of the orders
- Together with the management team (front and back of the house), executing maintaining and organizing, anything necessary to train staff to adhere to all Alberta Health Services (AHS) standards, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) and Sorrentino's Restaurant Group (SRG) Performance Management (PERMA) standards
- All interviewing and hiring (In conjunction with PM manager when necessary)
- Scheduling training and/or delegation of training.
- Maintaining proper filing systems according to HO requests.
- Communicating to Head Office all payroll information documented on correct forms
- Submitting all necessary forms, accounts payables to HO on a timely basis.
- Marketing the location to increase sales within and outside its four walls: cold calling, client follow-ups, appointments with local firms, etc.

**Event Coordination Responsibilities**:

- Taking the reservation/catering orders, working with the guests, planning the details. Communicating to Reservation Binder/Open Table System, PM Manager
- Completing, updating & maintaining party booking agreements
- Total control of the Reservation Book/Open Table as far as overseeing that reservations correspond to the party booking binder, floor maps accompanying busy shifts, documenting all local community and city events that affect sales per day as well as all major hotel occupancies in the area.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- A desire to organize
- Office management skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, google mail, google calendar and google drive
- A strong desire to provide excellent customer service
- Understanding of marketing principles and event planning

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
