**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**POSITION TITLE**: Cook

**DEPARTMENT**:Tangles Pizza Oven at Strike Point Bowling Center

**WAGE**:$17/hour

**POSITIONS SUMMARY**

The Part Time Cook will work opposite the primary cook to ensure full coverage of the schedule. The shifts will be mostly day time shifts during lower volume period. The shifts may occasionally overlap with the primary cook to have two sets of hands in the kitchen during peek volume periods. At these times the part time cook will be responsible for dish washing and assisting the primary cook as instructed. When the part time cook is the only cook on shift, the shift will include cooking orders, prep of dough and other items, stocking the prep tables, dishes and cleaning.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Consistency Follow Recipes
- Wash dishes
- Daily open, close, sanitation and temperature checks
- Cleaning & Maintenance checklists
- Handle, store and rotate all products safely, routinely check for and record waste
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Prep dough, spinach dip, etc. according to recipe
- Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.

- Weekends
- Weekdays
- Day shifts
- Possible evening shifts
- Possible additional shifts for special events
- Picking up extra shifts if primary cook has time booked off
- Approximately 10-20 hours per week year round

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Able to read and follow standardized recipes, learn quickly and take direction well
- Strong and practiced knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Comfortable working in a constantly changing pace: adapt quickly, multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift with frequent bending and lifting
- Works well as part of a team, willing to offer and ask for help from team members as needed
- Able to have fun as part of an upbeat playful work culture

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1 year experience in a kitchen preferred
- Food Handlers Certificate
- Smart Serve Certificate

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
