**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**POSITION TITLE**: Cook

**DEPARTMENT**:Tangles Pizza Oven at Strike Point Bowling Center

**WAGE**:Dependent on Experience

**POSITIONS SUMMARY**

The Tangles Pizza Oven kitchen at Strike Point Bowling Center is mostly a one man operation. Occasionally the cook will need an extra set of hands to wash dishes, refill ingredient stations or plate orders when it is extremely busy. The cook must be comfortable performing all roles within the kitchen and managing his/her own time efficiently to ensure everything is running smoothly. The pace changes very quickly so the cook must be able to adapt and change tasks without getting overwhelmed or sacrificing quality.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Follow established recipes consistently
- Multitask in a fast paced environment
- Use down time to complete important supporting tasks
- Handle, store and rotate all products safely, routinely check for and record waste
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Complete open and close duties
- Complete equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Dishwashing as required
- Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.
- Support front of house staff with bar or floor service when not cooking. Including processing transactions, offering exceptional customer service, delivering orders, and serving alcohol
- Work long shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Able to read and follow standardized recipes, learn quickly and take direction well
- Strong and practiced knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Comfortable working in a constantly changing pace: adapt quickly, multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift with frequent bending and lifting
- Works well as part of a team, willing to offer and ask for help from team members as needed
- Able to have fun as part of an upbeat playful work culture

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1-3 years experience as a cook preferred
- Food Handlers Certificate
- Smart Serve Certificate

**WORK HOURS**

30-40 hours per week

Days, Evenings, Long shifts, Weekends, Holidays

Starting as soon as possible

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
