**Overview**

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Grounds Person

We are looking for someone with at least **two seasons of experience** working on another golf course grounds crew. This part time, seasonal position lasts until November, depending on weather, with an average of 40 hours of work per week.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Operate various groundskeeping equipment and power tools including: string trimmers, backpack blowers, hand tools, push mowers, ride-on mowers, pull behind turbine blowers, walk-behind self-propelled mowers, various ride-on mowers, greens aerator, greens brush, greens roller, fairway topdresser, and tractor use
- Mow greens, tees, aprons, fairways, low maintenance rough and other turf areas
- Participate in unsupervised course renovation projects
- Daily course set up such as filling divots on tees and fairways, and setting tees and pins
- Assist with weed removal and management
- Maintain the on-course bunkers
- Perform other duties associated with daily golf course and property maintenance such as brush and debris removal, hand watering, operating irrigation controllers etc.
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Team-oriented
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Physically able to carry out the functions of the position
- Knowledge of golf and/or the ability to play the game is an asset

**Qualifications**:

- Two or more years of experience on a golf course maintenance team or in a related field
- Valid Basic First Aid, with CPR-C, and AED Certification, or equivalent will be required to be maintained during employment
- Willingness to complete a Police Information Check is required
- Valid BC driver’s license is required
- Operated by Ten Feet Sports and Entertainment, the Redwoods Golf Course has been serving locals and guests since 1994. Redwoods is situated in North Langley just off Highway #1 and minutes from the Golden Ears Bridge._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $28.75 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
