We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic individual to join our Turfcare Team as a **Student Grounds Crew Member**

The Student Grounds Person is an entry-level position that plays a key role in maintaining the beauty and playability of the golf course. Previous experience on a golf course grounds crew is not necessary but is a definite asset. This is a **full-time, seasonal position from June to September **and is perfect for an eager High School student looking for outdoor work experience

Becoming a **Student Grounds Crew Member** provides the opportunity to work outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine throughout the summer with most shifts ending around 2:00pm. Shifts are primarily Monday - Friday but some weekend shifts may be required throughout the season.

***Must be able to reliably report to work as early as 5:00 AM**

**Duties Include**:

- _Operating groundskeeping equipment and power tools including string trimmers, backpack blowers, hand tools, push mowers and entry-level ride-on mowers_
- _Performing mowing duties associated with daily golf course and property maintenance_
- _Performing other duties associated with daily golf course and property maintenance such as brush and debris removal_
- _Assisting in the golf course setup for daily play such as filling divots on tees and fairways_
- _Raking, grooming and maintaining bunkers_
- _Assisting in weed removal and management_
- _Other duties as assigned_

- _Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality golf course conditions_

**Qualifications & Assets**
- _Must hold a valid BC Driver's License_
- _Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 50lbs_
- _Experience on a golf course maintenance team or in a related field is an asset_
- _Having a strong knowledge of golf and/or the ability to play the game is an asset_
- _Willingness to complete a Police Information Check is required_
- _Valid First Aid Level 1, CPR and AED Certification, or equivalent will be required to be maintained during employment_
