Assistant Horticulturist

Spend your days doing a mix of gardening alongside our amazing head Horticulturist, as well as helping out with golf course maintenance This hybrid position is a unique opportunity to learn about horticulture in a hands-on way and expand your knowledge of golf course maintenance too If this sounds exciting, we want to hear from you

This **full-time, seasonal position** begins immediately and includes:

- Hourly wage based on experience and education**:$22 - $26 per hour**:

**Duties**:

- Completing various horticultural duties as outlined by our Head Horticulturist
- Planting and pruning shrubs, perennials, and annuals
- Monitoring soil moisture, weed management, and general plant care
- Mowing and watering duties on the golf course
- Assisting in other golf course duties as needed

**Qualifications & Assets**:

- Must have horticulture or nursery experience
- Must have the stamina and dedication to work in all weather conditions
- Must have a valid BC Driver's License
- Must have a working knowledge of west coast plant ID
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 40lbs
- Must be willing to use gas-powered trimmers, blowers and hedgers
- Having knowledge of golf maintenance and its equipment is an asset
