We make the world better, and you can too. **Business Analyst, Product**: **Job location**: our office in _Ottawa, Canada or remote in Toronto, Canada_ **About the team**: The Business Analyst will proactively partner with Kinaxis internal stakeholders and IT Business Partners to understand the business objectives, operating model, and processes. Through this business knowledge, the BA will identify areas where efficiency and productivity could be improved using business process improvements and technology solutions. Essential responsibilities include managing relationships, communications, business process development and analysis, data analysis, requirements elicitation and definition, solution configuration, project coordination, documentation, and training. **What you will do**: - Be part of the Product, Professional Services and Corporate Services Portfolio group within IT Application Excellence working closely with your team to ensure we deliver value to Kinaxis by leveraging a suite of business solutions. - Work closely with other Corporate IT teams, IT Business Partners, IT Application Excellence team members, business users and SMEs to identify and analyze business processes, user and system requirements and support the existing suit of Product, Professional Service and Commercial Services solutions. - Act as a Product Owner** **for Atlassian (Jira and Confluence) Data Center and- Manage the Agile backlog by working with the rest of the team and ensuring that we are meeting the expectations of our internal stakeholders. - Work with cross-functional teams to design or re-engineer business processes and take ownership of their translation into design specifications, implementation, and transition to operations. - Evaluate technology solution options and make recommendations that support our Solution Architecture while meeting business requirements. - Provide technical solutions by using the existing and new technology. - Perform requirements gathering sessions with the business users and work on enhancements through Dev/Test/Production instances. - Conduct impact analysis of requirements in collaboration with key Corporate IT team members. - Conduct meetings with various stakeholders and IT Business Partners to resolve issues, enhance app features and deliver solutions that solve business problems. - Coordinate new system implementations including timely data migration, user training, ITIL process implementation and post go live support models. - Ensure compliance with IT General Controls for apps within the portfolio. - Work on resolving backlog of Service Requests and Incidents. Eliminating the technical debt on the managed Applications (through technical investigations, working with Atlassian/Aha support). - Perform patching and system upgrades as needed. **What we are looking for**: - B.S. degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or more. - Experience with Agile (Scrum) Methodology and delivering through Sprints. CSM/PSM certification is preferred. - Ability to translate high-level business requirements into functional and system requirements. - Experience with design, configuration, and support of Atlassian Jira & Confluence (both Data Center & Cloud versions). - Experience migrating from to Cloud highly desired. Having Atlassian Certifications (Atlassian Certified Master) is preferred. - Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) is preferred. - An understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle for SaaS solutions a plus. - Experience supporting Aha Roadmap Software. - Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases and supporting data migration. - Solid system/data integration experience or experience with API development. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Critical thinker with strong analytical skills. - Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate several alternative solutions to meet the business needs. - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Training is an asset - Atlassian Training is an asset **What we have to offer**: - **Challenging Work - **We love solving highly complex problems.
