**Grower Support**

The Grower Support position is the beginning of a career in greenhouse operations. In this role, you will quickly gain knowledge and responsibility that will become foundational to all other areas within the greenhouse. This can be an entry-level position or an internship/co-op.

The Grower support position is the first step in our Growing team. At first, you will be trained on several aspects of growing, including irrigation, climate, labor management and systems followed quickly by taking responsibility of each area in successive order. During this time you will learn on the job during operation by asking questions and BUILDING on a foundation that both practical and theoretical in nature. We will provide full support for you to learn various aspects of growing tomatoes, together with a diverse and cooperative team. It is our goal to watch during this time for the individual to take “ownership” of all aspects of their crop and understand the impact of basic crop influences.

It will be expected to see above-average effort on learning, leading, and getting familiarized with all topics assigned to you. A positive attitude and humble approach are core values inside our team, as we understand that every individual has their own strengths and weaknesses, and only together can we succeed. Interaction with related departments is also critical to the success of the crop and the individual found in this role.

This position is meant to be an intensive learning and professional growth period (6-12 months), where you would be aiming to reach Junior Grower position quickly, through visible hard work, study, dedication, and cultural fit inside the company.

**QUALIFCATIONS**
- Higher degree or equivalent experience on Greenhouse horticulture
- Co-op/internship is a possibility
- Availability to work some weekends and extended hours when needed
- High sense of responsibility
- Ability to effectively communicate with your team
- Resourceful and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable joining the work crew on physical demanding activities when necessary
- Ability to self-prioritize multiple tasks and effectively get the job done
- Mid to advanced level on Microsoft Excel
