**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Unit Superintendent, the Maintenance Interface Coordinator is the link between Maintenance, Process Engineering Services, Engineering Services and Operations ensuring unit maintenance and production issues are discussed, prioritized addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prioritizes all unit maintenance activities and liaises with the Maintenance Department and operating teams; leads daily unit work prioritization meetings;
- Coordinates the execution of unplanned emergency / urgent maintenance activities; leads Work Request screening to ensure the work request(s) adds value, the data is accurate and the priority is correct;
- Coordinates maintenance and repair work affecting other process areas; provides unit equipment status updates at daily production meetings to establish facility work priorities;
- Maintains unit specific equipment operations ready for maintenance and return from maintenance procedures and checklists; conducts monthly audits of critical Unit operations safety processes;
- Issues daily operations priorities/instructions/directives to the operations unit teams; develops Operators routines, PM check sheets, and schedules for each post and monitors compliance;
- Assists Unit Superintendent and process engineering in troubleshooting production issues and lends support during operational upsets;
- Participates as necessary in CTA’s, Operability reviews, and housekeeping audits as Operations representative;
- Supports the development of commissioning and operating procedures for new or altered equipment; supports development of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Schedules for planned work and ensure distribution to the appropriate disciplines;
- Provides input from a plant operations perspective into detailed work plans, scoping requirements, resource and material requirements, work order follow-up and backlog management;
- Ensures operational and maintenance activities are executed per NWR’s policies and procedures; supports implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure equipment availability;
- Provides input into the annual NWR budget process; acts as the interface between HSE and Operations for the scheduling of regulatory testing;
- All other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- ** **Understands, creates and maintains a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others; adheres to NWR’s Core Competencies to drive results and a high performing culture;
- 10 years of Refinery/Upgrader experience;
- 4th class Power Engineering certificate or equivalent technical training;
- Strong analytical and facilitation skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff and management;
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and an ERP / CMMS (Maximo);
- Skilled user of Bentley’s “AssetWise” APM software (IVARA EXP) or other Operator Round software would be an asset;
- Ability to manage multiple task assignments in a matrix organization; effective communicator both in verbal and written format;
- Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling and a basic understanding of Refinery economics and budgeting.
