Basic Qualifications - A solid foundation in introductory algebra and geometry aka "game math", game systems, and fundamental programming principles. - 3+ years of experience building UI and experiences in game engines across multiple platforms (mobile, web, PC, consoles) or equivalent transferable experience. - 2+ years of experience delivering updates and new features to a user base on a regular cadence, or equivalent transferable experience with Unreal Engine. - Professional skills in Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English; due to the nature of the role, which requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingual French and English is required for this position. Come build the future with us Key job responsibilities Responsabilités - Collaborer à la conception des systèmes UI, en décomposant les maquettes de fonctionnalités en widgets, structures et classes essentielles, tout en veillant au respect des meilleures pratiques pour optimiser les performances de l'UI. - Gérer les actifs/UI pour assurer qu'ils restent dans les limites de la mémoire et du processeur, en mettant particulièrement l'accent sur le profilage des performances et l'évaluation des coûts liés à UMG, Slate, C++, la mémoire des textures et les matériaux UI. - Mettre en œuvre la logique des blueprints lorsque nécessaire et apporter un soutien aux artistes UI pour des comportements de présentation spéciaux. - Collaborer avec les ingénieur.es UI pour déterminer si la logique doit être dans les blueprints ou dans le code natif. - Diagnostiquer rapidement et résoudre les problèmes des blueprints/UMG à l'aide de divers outils et techniques. - Mettre en œuvre des animations et des scripts qui donnent vie à l'UI. - Identifier des opportunités pour améliorer l'organisation, la documentation et les processus de travail en collaboration avec les équipes de conception UX, d'art UI et d'ingénierie UI. - Contribuer à la création et à l'optimisation des matériaux UI, améliorant ainsi la qualité visuelle et les performances des éléments UI du jeu. **Responsibilities**: - Collaborate on UI systems design, breaking down feature wireframes into essential widgets, structures and classes, while ensuring adherence to best practices to optimise UI performance. - Manage assets/UI to ensure they remain within memory and CPU constraints, with a particular focus on profiling performance and assessing costs associated with UMG, Slate, C++, texture memory and UI materials. - Implement blueprint logic as required and provide support to UI artists for specific presentation behaviours. - Work with UI engineers to determine whether logic should be in blueprint or native code. - Quickly diagnose and resolve blueprint/UMG issues using a variety of tools and techniques. - Implement animations and scripts that bring the UI to life. - Identify opportunities for organisational, documentation and workflow improvements in collaboration with the UX, UI Art and UI Engineering teams. - Contribute to the creation and optimisation of U
