Technical Artist Type: Contract on T4 Duration: 6 to 18 months About the job: We are seeking an experienced Technical Artist to collaborate with peers in developing and maintaining high‑quality tools, pipelines, systems, and runtime performance. The ideal candidate will work with the Technical Art team to ensure real‑time gameplay maintains high visual quality while remaining performant and functional. Summary of the opportunity: Join our team as a Technical Artist and contribute to the success of groundbreaking projects in the gaming industry. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal visual quality and performance in our games. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify workflow pain points and provide solutions Collaborate with various art teams to optimize runtime performance Use PIX to address content performance concerns Troubleshoot performance issues in Environments, Animation, and Character Art Educate, document technical processes, and communicate with external vendors Fix bugs in the game as reported Required Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of video game production Problem‑solving skills for technical issues Proficiency in Unreal 4 or equivalent engine Experience in shader creation and optimization Familiarity with 2D/3D art packages and scripting/programming languages Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience with Houdini/Substance Designer Additional Information Competitive compensation package offered.
