Job Purpose
As a Product Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting, product preparation and pricing of drop off donations, individual donations coming back on trucks, and clothing. All drop off and individual donations will need to be valued and closed in Sales Force (our donation record software) with accuracy for the purpose of donor receipting. Working with the CDC and Ecomm team you will play a vital role in the preparation of products to be shipped to our retail stores.
Job Duties
- Organize and sort incoming inventory, ensuring accurate product counts specifically drop off donations, individual donations coming off trucks and clothing coming into the CDC
- Build, assemble, clean, price and prep products for Ecommerce and distribution.
- Research the retail value of all items to determine pricing as per pricing guidelines.
- Ensure drop off donations are entered, valued and closed accurately for the purpose of donor receipts.
- Maintain an organized and efficient storage and prep area to allow for the flow through of product daily.
- Learn, understand, and participate in the Health and Safety Program
- Uphold all Habitat for Humanity GTA policies and procedures.
- Act as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity GTA
- Perform additional job-related duties as required.
Summary of Skills & Qualifications
- Self-motivated, responsible, and eager to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience using web-based platforms (Outlook, Word and Excel, Sales Force, Shopify, Google)
- Ability to use lifting equipment such as two-wheel dollies, pump trucks etc
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to commute to the Central Distribution Centre
