**Location**: Sudbury, Ontario

**Position**: Job Retention Specialist - 1 year contract

**Duties**:

- Conduct assessments of potential employers to ensure they meet the necessary standards including a safe work environment, OH&S requirements, reputable business practices and an understanding of work with persons with disabilities
- In conjunction with the VRS, Employer and Client Coordinator, implement on-the-job training programs with the employer’s staff ensuring necessary progression and documentation
- Conduct ergonomic assessments, functional abilities testing, or other assessments as required
- In conjunction with the employer, implement necessary work accommodations.
- Manage the work of job coaches
- Provide the necessary reports to the clients’ primary case managers
- Provide direct support of clients and employers as necessary
- Job coaching
- Provide the necessary reports tohe clients’ primary case managers
- Providedirect support of clients and employers as necessary

**Qualifications**:

- Registered Rehabilitation Practitioner designation or equivalent; Kinesiology degree and asset.
- Experience in conducting physical demands analysis /ergonomic assessment /return to work monitoring
- Experience implementing training-on-the-job programs with the goal of client skill acquisition
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, make recommendations, and take action based on best available information and input from others
- Demonstrated professional, customer-focused behavior; sensitive to issues / barriers that people with disabilities experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Highly organized and excellent time management
- Bilingual considered an asset
- Must be eligible to be certified through CVRP

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
