Manager, Business Operations

This position is instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of MEMS’ daily operations, leveraging data analytics to drive informed business decisions and overall operational efficiency. This role supports the Vice President, Business Operations and provides critical insights to enhance profitability and streamline processes. The Business Operations Manager will be expected to analyze operational data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and recommend strategies for process improvements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee supply chain management, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Utilize analytics to provide insights that guide business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Assess the financial viability of equipment rental agreements and operational strategies. Determine cost structures, pricing strategies, and profitability margins to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, financial outcomes, and strategic recommendations to the VP, Business Operations and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with other functional groups to gather data, share insights, and align strategies across the organization. Foster a culture of collaboration and transparency in decision-making.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to analytics team members, promoting professional development and a data-driven culture within the organization.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices in business analytics, and technological advancements. Recommend and implement tools and methodologies to enhance data analysis capabilities.

**What You Bring**
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in business analytics, operations management, or a related field, preferably in consulting environment.
- Experience with Deltek VantagePoint is an asset.
- A valid, non-GDL Class 5 Drivers license.

**Other Skills and Knowledge**
- Ability to focus on details while retaining a comprehensive vision of the big picture.
- Work well under pressure, have great interpersonal skills and can juggle several different projects and responsibilities with ease and composure.
- Clear concise communication style; both written and verbal.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive and urgent situations independently or by escalation to the appropriate individual.
- Ability to effectively handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge of business operations and administration and the ability to distinguish minor issues from major crises.
- Ability to work with technical and operations teams and lead discussions about system implementation.
- Thorough knowledge of the relevant legislation.

**Working Conditions**:

- Normal office environment that requires sitting for extended periods of time;
- Prolonged exposure to computer keyboards and computer screens;
- Manual dexterity required to use laptop and peripherals;
- Sometimes requires long hours of work; and
- some travel to other MEMS offices may be required on occasion.
