What you'll do

The Video Content Specialist role will report to the Manager, Creative & Design to support Marketing, Communications and other parts of the organization. The role will work with the Manager, Brand, Graphic Designers and Copywriters, collaborate with external agencies and other creative team members to handle video projects from start to finish. He or she will be responsible for planning, shooting, editing, animating and delivering videos that are engaging and support our marketing, promotional and internal communication efforts - some photography support will also be required. He or she will maintain brand consistency while delivering high-quality persuasive live action and animated video content. Including, but not limited to, executive interviews, product launches, testimonials, internal employee events, “how to” product demos, internal communications, social media posts, rich media advertising, and other online content.

  • Shoot and create video content that is on brief, on brand, and compelling to the B2B market.
  • Oversee all audio, lighting and sound design for video productions.
  • Handle photography requests that could include head shots, product photos, on-site business owner pics, and employee stills.
  • Meet with Marketing Managers, Product Owners, and other internal clients to discuss brief details, like business objectives and requirements.
  • Work on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Manage time to ensure projects are done on time and on budget.
  • Estimate the time required to complete a job and providing estimates.

What you bring

Must-have experience, knowledge, skills & abilities

  • Degree in film, graphic design, visual communications, advertising, multi-media or related fields required. Graduate degree preferred
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution
  • Minimum two years’ video content creation, including graphic design. Creative agency background a plus.
  • Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset
  • Professional experience producing and editing video and audio content and control lighting.
  • Good knowledge of social media, audience engagement, and creating share-worthy content.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop and After Effects).
  • Experience with photography, photo editing and general graphic design.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal). Bilingualism is an asset
  • Good leadership skills and ability to take projects from start to finish with mínimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - must be a team player.
  • An ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • An eye for detail and excellent time management skills.
