Robotics Technician

As a Robotics Technician, you will actively participate in the physical bring up of different types of robotic test stations as well as their maintenance and continuous hardware updates. You will be supervising robotic station operations and troubleshooting and solving any technical issues while working along engineering departments and supporting the everyday needs of a fast paced working environment.
Some of your roles and responsibilities will involve the planning, coordination and execution of technical tasks as well as collaboration with different hardware and software teams, while providing detailed documentation, test and analysis results. Availability to travel to site 10% of the time is desired.
This is an onsite role, based in our downtown Toronto office.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Provide day to day support to maintain, repair and upgrade our ever-evolving robotic test stations.
- Assist with robotic test station build at various sites.
- Provide status updates on Jira tickets and prepare test reports using confluence pages.
- Troubleshoot complex issues to enable minimum downtime to robotic test stations.
- Track and record workload through our agile management tool.
- Assist stakeholders by shipping components.
- Participate in robotics on demand experiments.
- Contribute to managing stock levels to maintain the stations in an efficient timeframe.
- Work independently with mínimal supervision.
**Knowledge Skills and Experience**:
- Good understanding of safe systems of work and Health and Safety.
- Qualification or equivalent mechanical experience (understanding technical drawings and following assembly procedures).
- Analytical fault finding / troubleshooting skills.
- Basic software knowledge.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Basic Solidworks knowledge.
- Attention to detail and execution with quality.
- Self-motivated and able to work with large teams and independently.
- Able to work under challenging timelines and with multiple stakeholders.
- Clear communicator.
- Basic proficiency with Google suite products like Docs, Sheets, Slides etc.
- Ability to prioritize workload and respond to changing business needs.
- Working as part of the lab support department, you will support our team across multiple offices.
- Must be willing and able to travel to other locations.
**Bonus Qualifications**:
- Basic understanding of programming languages.
- PLC programming.
- Proficient with troubleshooting and installation of Electrical and Electronic components and devices.
- Knowledge of working with robots is a plus
