At La Fabrique de Bagel, we have brought the Montreal bagel tradition into the heart of downtown with a few twists and surprises. We offer a wide selection of flavoured cream cheese and specialty sandwiches using our signature bagels.
We’re looking for people to join a team of outgoing individuals with an appreciation for food and coffee.
As a barista/server, you will be taking customers orders for bagels, coffee in addition to many other grab and go items. Basic cooking skills and food safety knowledge is required and will be covered in training.
In this role you will be expected to
- Support all aspects of food preparation, quality control and food display.
- Take orders, operate cash register and POS.
- Perform opening shift duties, ensuring the front counters are fully stocked and well-presented
- Perform closing shift duties, cleaning, restocking and general prep for following morning. Involves deep cleaning of store.
- Understand and learn the various menu items, including specials in order to provide recommendations.
- Multi task and communicate efficiently with team to keep the lineup running smoothly during rush periods (breakfast/open and lunch)
Various shifts available - Morning shift beginning 7/8 a.m, closing shift ends at approx. 6/7p.m.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 35 per week
**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour
Additional pay:

- 8 hour shift

- Food industry: 1 year (preferred)
