**The Milton Chamber of Commerce** is seeking a dynamic and organized **Jr. Event Coordinator** to join our team. This role involves coordinating and executing a variety of events, from small meetings to large conferences.

The individual hired for this placement will gain valuable experience in event planning supporting a career in events, hospitality, business, communications, and customer relations. The skills gained through this placement are transferable to many positions along one’s career path.

The Milton Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization representing over 700 member businesses and individuals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help coordinate all events related to the Milton Chamber of Commerce
- Arrange venues, caterers, suppliers, speakers, and equipment for events
- Ensure smooth execution of event day plans
- Support event setup and breakdown
- Work with the President & CEO to adhere to event budgets
- Track event registrations and ensure necessary steps taken to meet attendance targets
- Coordinate staff and volunteer support for all events
- Ensure accurate records are kept of each event (registration lists, databases, files, etc.)
- As needed, arrange special occasion permits or other licenses
- Establish and maintain relationships with sponsors and suppliers as they relate to Chamber events
- Fulfill contractual obligations relating to sponsors
- Investigate and help resolve event issues
- Maintain CRM to track progress and ensure up to date information
- Work alongside the President & CEO and provide assistance as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in event planning, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
- Event planning experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with CRM software (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for event excellence
- Ability to work in person and virtually is required

**Hours: 35/week**

**Pay: $19/hr**

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
