Kennedy House (KH) is a not-for-profit organization with a long-standing dedication to providing exceptional personalized care for youth in the Greater Toronto Area for over 50 years. KH started with an initial family-like group home in 1971 and currently operates several residential and community-based programs, for marginalized and at-risk youth, including:
- One residential program for adolescents in care;
- Three residential programs for youth and young adults living with developmental disabilities;
- A Day Treatment school program for youth struggling in the typical school setting;
- Kennedy House Youth Centre, a secure custody facility for male youth experiencing conflict with the law;
- Bailiff services to safely and securely transport youth experiencing conflict with the law;
- Kennedy House After School Program for children aged 4-13 in underserved communities throughout Scarborough; and
- Kennedy House Youth Shelter, for youth aged 16-24 experiencing homelessness.
KH works with youth to enable them to grow as individuals and contribute as members of the community. This is achieved by providing customized support and building trusting relationships.

**Position Summary**
The Residential Services Division works in conjunction with child welfare systems and other organizations to provide individualized plans of care and support. We offer a wide range of programs including but not limited to the following: time management, hygiene, transportation, nutrition, self-growth, health & safety, financial management, purchasing and utilization of community resources, job skills & employment preparation and housing & accommodation support.
Reporting to the Supervisor 1, the Supervisor 2 provides professional supervisory oversight to staff. This position supervises the quality of services provided to children, youth, and adults in our care. The Supervisor 2 is also responsible for high-level case management and oversight with various levels of the Ontario Provincial Government, including the Ministry of Community and Social Services. The Supervisor 2 acts as a source of advice and expertise to staff including Developmental Service Workers as well as Child and Youth Workers. There is the expectation that there is a clear understanding and ability to perform all Developmental Service Worker (DSW) expectations within the program and to fill in where necessary.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties **
- To have a clear understanding of all events which transpire in their program on a daily basis hence, the Program Supervisor 2 must review all documentation each day to aid him/her in this responsibility.
- Supervises the quality of services provided to the youth/individuals in our care.
- Ensuring that the level of communication and partnership with placement workers, case facilitators, families, schools, including the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and the Ministry of Community and Social Services are professional and timely in nature.
- Acts as a source of advice, guidance and expertise to the Developmental Service Workers as well as the Supervisor 2 within the program.
- Expected to have a clear understanding and ability to perform all DSW expectations within the program and to fill in where necessary.
- Share on call support to residential programs on a rotating schedule.

**Education**:
- High school diploma is required
- DSW Diploma, or a College Diploma/ University degree with a focus on Social Services and Behavioral Science, 1+ years’ work experience is required.
- College Diploma/ University degree in an unrelated field, 2+ years of work experience is required.
- Certification in both First Aid and CPR courses are essential.
**Qualifications: **
- Preferred two+ years of experience in program supervision or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the skills knowledge and ability necessary to perform the tasks
- Knowledge of health-care procedures and mechanical equipment - wheelchairs, lifts, G-tubes and other specialized equipment as asset.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid are mandatory
- Current certification in CPI
- Valid Class G Driver’s License
- Police Check and Vulnerable Sector Search must be current and maintained. Concerns and/or issues regarding the police check and Vulnerable Sector Search will be taken into consideration and does not preclude employment.
