Senior Psychology Advisor - Registered Psychologist Join to apply for the Senior Psychology Advisor - Registered Psychologist role at WorkSafeBC Are you a registered psychologist with expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological aspects of physical conditions? Do you have a thorough understanding of psychological reactions to workplace injury and trauma? We’re looking for a qualified psychologist to join our dynamic Mental Health Services department as a Senior Psychology Advisor. You’ll work with teams specialized in trauma, serious injuries, high‑risk situations, brain injury, occupational disease, chronic pain, and difficult work relations. How you’ll make a difference: As part of our interdisciplinary case‑management teams, you’ll focus on helping injured workers in their recovery, rehabilitation, and safe return to work. Where you’ll work: WorkSafeBC offers a hybrid work model combining remote work and office work, based on operational needs. We offer a flexible Monday‑to‑Friday work week and a part‑time schedule (29 hours per week). Responsibilities Engage in collaborative, proactive, individual case consultations Conduct file reviews and write clinical opinions Plan and monitor assessment and treatment services Participate in team meetings Offer educational presentations to staff to promote an understanding of psychology and the concepts and practices of case management Liaise with healthcare providers Provide supervision to psychologists engaged in the registration process for the College of Health and Care Professionals of B.C. We’re looking for someone who can Provide expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological reactions to workplace injury and trauma Solve problems in an interdisciplinary, case‑management setting Establish rapport and build trust with clients, colleagues, and others in a clinically complex and diverse environment Present your expert knowledge, opinions, and ideas to a variety of individuals and groups (verbally and in writing) Your background and experience A graduate degree in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, or counseling psychology and current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of B.C. (CHCPBC), or eligibility for an expedient registration with CHCPBC A minimum of three years of relevant work experience as a psychologist, preferably in disability management, workers’ compensation, insurance, medical‑legal setting, or healthcare in a multi‑disciplinary team environment Experience providing direct psychological/neuropsychological assessment and treatment services Training and experience in conducting psychological assessments and/or treatment in an institutional context Important to know Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults Confirm you’re legally entitled to work in Canada What it’s like to work at WorkSafeBC It’s challenging, stimulating, and rewarding.
