Inventory Control Supervisor

As the _**Inventory Control Supervisor**_, you will be leading a team of three coordinators as you actively engage to oversee all company ingredient, packaging and finished goods inventory in both the Manufacturing and Warehouse facilities, as well as a 3PL offsite warehousing facility.
- **Essential Functions**_
**Inventory Management**:
- Hands on support of team and function to ensure inventory accuracy. Liaising with cross functional team members to ensure follow through and next steps are taken.
- Working with Operations, Supply Chain, and Warehousing, analyze current procedures and optimize for efficiency, cost reduction and greater customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate cycle and year-end inventory counts at multiple warehouses and reconcile in transit inventory
- Develop action plans to effectively manage inventory levels and to optimize inventory stock requirements
- Ensure accurate Min/Max levels and costing are accurate for all inventoried items.
- Address inventory issues as they arise; identify root causes to fix
- Enforce inventory management policies and procedures compliance within the organization
**Inventory/Cost Accounting**:
- Run and reconcile inventory valuation reports from all warehouses.
- Examine the levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortages, system and physical count.
- Investigate inventory variances, determining root cause and action process improvements
- Coordinate Inbound and Outbound loads from 3PL warehouse to main warehouse and vice versa.
- Coordinate inventory adjustments and posting in SAP system.
- Assist in system implementations and integrations in the system.
**Forecasting and Inventory Analysis**:
- Analysis of current inventory levels for demand forecasting purposes.
- Coordinate inventory levels for different projects or new projects with strategic departments.
- Lead Aging Inventory analysis and follow ups as required with cross functional team.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure reporting and analysis alignment on forecasts.
- **Activities**_
- Lead Cross Functional Aged Inventory Meeting to ensure all departments are proactively adhering to Inventory KPIs and Policies.
- Count all products, materials and packaging at required frequencies.
- Maintain detailed records of all prescribed inventories.
- Reorganize and Reposition inventories to ensure FIFO, FEFO standards as required.
- Manage Short-Shelf Life ingredients (eggs, yeast, milk, etc) to ensure we maximize usage.
- Manage freezer shipments to avoid expiry of products.
- Set policies and practices in place to ensure we avoid write-offs and manage inventory effectively.
- Support cross-functional projects teams for customer trials, ensuring we manage all trial ingredients - this includes ensuring we have inventory appropriately assigned to trial and post trial ingredients are dealt with in accordance with Tradition and/or customer requirements.
- Addresses and resolves discrepancies in inventory.
- Implements improved security and storage procedures to reduce loss and theft.
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of Supply Chain logistics.
- Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Actively Audit processes that support inventory control and track performance.
- Support Supplier Evaluation by analyzing data, trends to improve relationships, cost and service levels.
- Prepare detailed Reports, communicate findings and present data analysis to Management.
- Support Retail Store requirements.
- Job Specifications_
- Post-secondary school graduate of Supply Chain Management / Inventory Management or equivalent
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including prior supervisory experience
