Truck Driver Supervisor

**Job Summary**
As a Truck Driver Supervisor, you will lead a dynamic team of drivers, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes. Your expertise in commercial driving will be pivotal in overseeing operations involving manual transmission vehicles, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and more. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of safety and compliance while fostering a positive work environment that motivates your team to excel.
**What you’ll do**
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of truck drivers to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to safety regulations.
- Conduct regular training sessions on driving techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
- Monitor driver performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage route planning and logistics to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of freight, utilizing forklifts, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver logs, and delivery documentation.
- Collaborate with management to address any operational challenges or driver concerns promptly.
**Basic qualifications**
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Familiarity with various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and more.
**Preferred qualifications**
- Experience supervising or managing a team in a transportation or logistics environment.
- Certification for operating forklifts or other heavy machinery as required by state law.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
