**Rhino Truck Lube Centre is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Dartmouth The Supervisor will split their time between interacting with customers and working in the office while also actively working on the shop floor. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the first drive through, no appointment, warranty approved service centre in Dartmouth, servicing the commercial and heavy-duty sector.**
The Operations Supervisor, reporting to the Director of Operations, will oversee the daily operations and staff at the Rhino Truck Lube Centre in Dartmouth. Aligned with the company’s objectives, the Supervisor will work to achieve optimal operational efficiency, consistency, profitability, and exceptional customer service. With extensive experience in the heavy-duty/light-duty truck sector, the Supervisor will be committed to providing industry-leading customer service while championing health and safety standards, ensuring strict adherence to all required policies, procedures, and regulations. Additionally, the Supervisor will actively contribute to sales growth by networking and building relationships with key fleet accounts and customers.

- Valid driver’s license.
- Ensure the location follows proper health, safety, and environmental procedures in compliance with all municipal, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Ensure H&S boards are current with required postings
- Ensure monthly safety checklist is completed and scanned into Microsoft Teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Maintain communication with service providers (GFL etc.) as required
- Ensure that all staff under your direction adhere to all health and safety regulations and are equipped with and are using the proper personal protective equipment.
- Participate in workplace inspections.
- Accurately monitor and maintain inventories, the flow of merchandise, and weekly orders. Ensure monthly inventory is completed on the last day of month.
- Daily review of inventory reports - received inventory & inventory transactions by category
- Ensure costs in our operating system (ISI) are current & accurate
- Monitor inventory usage and adjust reorder quantities in ISI to ensure responsible ordering and that minimum and maximum levels remain accurate and relevant.
- On the last day of the month, print the Inventory Valuation Report (1-7-4-5) and scan to Director of Operations for review.
- Work with technicians to continuously improve key company metrics including average ticket, labour rates and the cost of goods sold (COGS). Strong focus on driving bottom line profitability.
- Leverage available reports to identify areas of improvement as it relates to budgeted KPI’s.
- Identify and escalate areas for improvement with the Director of Operations
- Monitor and identify areas to reduce non-preferred party vendors and non-preferred vendors and communicate findings to Director of operations
- Review weekly payroll weekly budgeted hours report to ensure wages are in-line with budget
- Monthly review of P&L and report on variances
- Train, coach and mentor technicians on policies, procedures, and proper business practices.
- Conduct training presentations for technicians on product knowledge, store activities, and established policies and procedures.
- Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to other staff, including demonstrating add-on sales
