**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accounting**
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and vendor communication.
- Perform hands-on data entry of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Support the Financial Controller on month-end and year-end closing processes, financial reporting, and annual audits.

**Payroll**
- Handle hands-on processing of payroll, including keeping records, calculating wages and commissions, employee benefits deductions, and payroll reconciliation for annual audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, adhering to local payroll regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Provide hands-on support for employees regarding benefits inquiries and assist during the enrolment process.
- Safeguard sensitive information and comply with data protection regulations.

**Administration**
- Oversees operations to ensure compliance with approved accounting policies and procedures
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assists in other daily and special projects for the Controller
- Enforces internal controls for units and personnel
- Follows and maintains the Finance Department calendar
- Supports and complements the Analytics team
- Prepare documentation required for training and R&D programs

**Qualifications**
- College degree (DEC) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with strong organizational skills and motivation
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of payroll, banking, and internal control procedures
- Must be results oriented with strong accounting and financial skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with all levels of the organization
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation communication skills in English
- Has the legal status to work in Canada

**Preferred Skills**
- Knowledge of Xero accounting software
- ADP WorkforceNow.
- Knowledge of G-Sheets.

**Comptabilité**
- Superviser les fonctions des comptes fournisseurs et clients, y compris le traitement des factures, la préparation des paiements et la communication avec les fournisseurs.
- Effectuer la saisie manuelle des transactions financières, en veillant à l'exactitude et à la documentation appropriée.
- Effectuer régulièrement des rapprochements de comptes pour vérifier l'exactitude et l'intégralité des données financières.
- Soutenir le contrôleur financier dans les processus de clôture de fin de mois et de fin d'année, les rapports financiers et les vérifications annuels.

**Paie**
- Gérer le traitement pratique de la paie, y compris la tenue des dossiers, le calcul des salaires et des commissions, les déductions des avantages sociaux des employés et la conciliation de la paie pour les audits annuels.
- Veiller au traitement rapide et précis de la paie, en respectant les réglementations locales en matière de paie. Répondre aux questions relatives à la paie et résoudre rapidement toute anomalie.
- Fournir un soutien pratique aux employés concernant les questions liées aux avantages sociaux et aider lors du processus d'inscription.
- Protéger les informations sensibles et se conformer aux réglementations sur la protection des données.
