Ottawa, Canada GCOM Support Full time

Local computer repair company looking to add a new member to the team. We specialize in residential computer/mac repair and cell phone/tablet repair.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting a wide range of hardware and software including Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android
- Regularly follow up with clients regarding status of repair
- Effectively communicate technical issues in a manner that customers can understand
- Repair various makes/models of smartphones and tablets (Android and iOS)

**Requirements**:

- In-depth knowledge of various software including MS office, Windows, Mac OSX
- Good working experience of end-user IT support and knowledge of IT systems (PC, Android, iOS, Mac)
- Strong understanding of both Mac and PC operating systems (including older versions)
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort dealing with the public related to technical issues
- The ability to research and analyze key information in a timely fashion
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Bilingual in both English and French
- A valid driver’s license

**Experience**
- **Repairing iMac devices including screen disassembly**:

- **Hard drive replacements on windows and mac OS - including cloning**:

- **Replace phone screens, batteries and other internal components**:

- **Install Mac OS on various mac devices**:

- **Install Windows 10/11**:

- **Transfer data from device to device**:

- **Ability to properly diagnose technical issues with Windows and Mac**

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
