Browning IT offers hardware, software, security, and network solutions to a wide variety of clients of all sizes. Clients include small, medium, and large businesses ranging in size from 1 man-shows to hundreds of employees. Our full range of support covers keyboard to server solutions for clients across Canada.

**About the position**:
Working with our team to stay ahead of the increasing demands of our growing client list, you will contribute to operations in a timely delivery of solutions and recommendations. We are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated sysadmin / technician to provide a wide variety of IT support and service functions.

Duties include:

- Providing support to our clients on all IT issues;
- Diagnosing and resolving computer system issues and daily technical client service calls;
- Repairing hardware/software installs;
- Preparing service and billing reports;
- Maintain, design, and enhance client system(s);
- Planning/developing Canada-wide networks;
- Managing our technical service desk; and
- Providing other support on an as-needed basis.

**About you**:
You are a results-oriented person who is able to “make it happen”. You are versatile, using your wide range of knowledge to diagnose and resolve many different IT problems that may arise. When you encounter a problem you do not immediately know how to resolve, you use good judgement to find the right balance between researching solutions on your own and escalating the problem to your colleagues.

**Essential qualifications**
- A high school diploma, post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, engineering or other relevant field;
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle;
- Either 3 or more years in a System Administration role or 5 or more years’ experience in a variety of relevant IT roles; and
- 3 or more years’ experience providing on-site & remote service to clients.
- Fluent in French (or actively learning it with 3 years' experience)

**Asset qualifications**
- Experience managing/auditing networks (Cisco, Fortigate, Ubiquiti, Aruba, Juniper);
- Experience managing/auditing client data (especially backups, integrity, organization, permissions - ABE, and recovery);
- Experience sourcing and recommending new hardware and software solutions for clients;
- Experience as a security administrator (ABE);
- Experience as a web administrator (Linux, Windows IIS, **Sharepoint**);
- English/French bilingualism (conversational);
- Government of Canada security clearance (enhanced, secret, top secret).
