Saint Benedict Parish is seeking for a reliable Youth Ministry Coordinator. The Youth Ministry Coordinator at SBP has a passion and a desire to lead teens to discover Jesus, form them to become missionary disciples, and equip them to go out and transform the world. They understand that our teens are an integral part of our parish community.

The Youth Ministry Coordinator will be responsible for leading a team made up of volunteer parishioners who are trained and entrusted youth leaders to support The Rise, Youth Alpha, and our SBP group participating in the Steubenville Atlantic Conference (chaperones).

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ongoing recruiting, training, and managing of The Rise team of youth leaders for Thursday nights.
- Creating ways to reach teens in our parish and beyond who are not yet engaged with youth ministry.
- Coordinating and executing special events such as an SBP group participating in the Steubenville Atlantic Conference.
- A strong personal faith in Jesus and a passion for helping others discover Him and become His missionary disciples
- An understanding and appreciation for core Catholic beliefs, including the centrality of Sunday Mass
- An understanding of and love for the Saint Benedict Parish Vision, Purpose, and Game Plan — and how each applies practically to youth
- Experience leading youth ministry
- An understanding of developmental stages of adolescence and how that applies to their spiritual development
- Knowledge of current technology as it relates to music and A/V
- Skilled in time management
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An ability to work collaboratively with people on staff, other church leaders, and parishioners
- The leadership skills to recruit, train, and empower a team of unpaid volunteers
- Humility and teachability as an ongoing learner

The Youth Ministry Coordinator is a part-time (15-20 hours/week) member of our staff team and will be supported by Tanya LeRue, our Production and Digital Mission Team Leader. They work in alignment with the Pastor and the Parish Leadership Team. They are expected to participate with the staff, including, but not limited to, team meetings, weekly staff prayer, monthly all staff meetings, and Leadership Summits. They will work on site and remotely with flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
