**Summary**:
We are looking for a part-time (24 hours/week) Intellectual Property Lead to manage Ekona’s Intellectual Property (IP) activities. Reporting to the CTO, the IP Lead will support the Product Development and R&D teams, overseeing the maintenance and growth of Ekona’s Intellectual Property Portfolio.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Administer, Document, Track and Review Invention Disclosures
- Maintain Ekona’s IP Register and reporting requirements
- Help Initiate Patent/Trademark/Trade Secret protection activities in conjunction with Ekona’s IP Law Firm and CTO
- Maintain vigilance on Ekona’s Competitive Landscape and right to practice through periodic reviews, searches, etc.
- Provide IP reports to the CTO and Senior Leadership Team
- Other relevant duties

**You Bring**:

- B.A.Sc. or equivalent diploma in a scientific discipline from an accredited institution
- 5 + years related experience in a technology field setting
- Experience with IP Law, Patent Filings (Domestic and International), Patent Claims, Patent Process
- Proficiency with MS Products
- Authorized to work in Canada
