**Who we are**

Take a Hike Market (TAHM) is Canada’s newest culinary playground, at home in the Rocky Mountains of Canmore Alberta. Our greatest pleasure is to bring people together, to explore Canada’s diverse agricultural and artisanal bounty, and bring it to the table in creative ways. **What you’ll be doing**

In this position, under the direction of TAHM’s CEO, your primary responsibilities will be to ensure that the Market is well staffed and provisioned as well help the business achieve its metric goals and objectives through active KPI management. You will hire and train employees, help implement business strategies, and perform a variety of other tasks to ensure the business is thriving. Together with our Leadership Team you will work to deliver on our profitability goals and champion a happy and healthy work environment while contributing to a thriving workplace culture.

You will be responsible for
- Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations by ensuring our standards of expectations are thoughtfully communicated and completed with accuracy.
- Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees to provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
- Monitoring store activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed.
- Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies.
- Generating reports and presenting information to our Leadership Team.
- Adhering to all cash management procedures, including cash in/out and balancing deposit discrepancies as well as holding follow up accountability conversations with Team members when required.
- Scheduling and shift management as well as conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner.
- Resolving employee or customers questions or grievances in a professional manner.
- Ensuring our Team adheres to all pertinent health and safety regulations as well as TAHM’s policies and procedures.
- Representing a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment. Having the ability to prioritize and multitask, follow directions, and remain organized is a must.
- Showing a willingness to take initiative and make decisions within TAHM’s established guidelines and report any act in violation of those guidelines.
- Displaying a passion for exceptional customer service, and the desire to continuously improve your skill set.
- Adhering to our values and guidelines to encourage a positive employee experience and measurability of inventory and cost controls.
- Willingly engaging in any task that is required or asked of you. Being a Team member at TAHM comes with a “can do” attitude, being present and willing to support our Team in any situation is a paramount quality for all our employees.

**What we need from you**
- A long-term commitment to grow and develop with TAHM.
- A willingness to participate in a full-time, permanent contract as part of a dynamic and collaborative Team.
- Ability to work within a flexible work arrangement including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends, stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
- A willingness to comply with TAHM’s policies and procedures.
- Be a resident of the Bow Valley or have to ability to relocate with some ease. A reliable commute or relocation plan will need to be confirmed before starting work.

**What skills & experience you’ll bring to us**
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in managerial role is required.
- Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles with excellent conflict resolution abilities and an affinity for capacity development.
- High level of energy with out of this world customer service skills.
- Detail oriented with exceptional time management, critical thinking, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A helpful and courteous approach to handling both employee and customer requests, questions, and complaints.
- Teamwork-oriented with outstanding organizational abilities.
- Prior experience using payroll software is preferred.
