Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Allocation, the Allocation Analyst will manage the by-store inventory investment for their categories of the business by accurately flowing inventory to the stores in a timely and effective manner. The Allocation Analyst has a direct role and responsibility in the overall financial performance of their categories (Sales, Gross Margin and Turnover).

JOB DUTIES:

- Meets distribution standards for maximizing sales through effective and timely allocation.
- Analyze category data to provide recommendations to optimize store assortments, increase store turns, improve GMROI and reduce distribution costs
- Maintain and distribute key reports to support stakeholders; identify and communicate risks and opportunities
- Monitors and effectively adjusts replenishment flow based on current sales trends, communicating variances in basic and fashion item in stock and sell through rates
- Manage specific departments to support unique inventory needs for on-line business
- Demonstrates total knowledge of product layouts assortments and promotions, including regional and select store buys, and on-line store products.
- Build strong relationships with the buying team to understand assortment strategies that effects the inventory position by SKU and store to maximize inventory sell through.
- Communicates with Planners and Merchants on product flow issues and strategies.
- Reviews warehouse inventory and monitors stock levels accordingly
- Works closely with Buying Team and Distribution Centre on vendor compliance issues (layout and pack code discrepancies, sku and size variances)
- Identifies merchandise opportunities through constant contact with the Operations team.
- Build strong partnership with planners to understand the financial implications of business decisions that affect inventory, sales and margin.
- Provide in depth analysis and feedback by-size style/color to the business for initial buys and re-orders.
- Consolidations: prepare the analytics to recommend cost effective consolidations, as required to meet demand.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- 2+ years of experience in allocation and/or analytical experience in a retail organization
- 2+ years of experience in allocation and/or merchandising support
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and customer service skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience

- French not required
